My life's purpose while in California was to eat as many fish tacos as possible. And it all started with Malibu Seafood (the link is me officially recommending this place to all people who like good things). That place knows their fish taco – fresh salsa, sliced cabbage, and the OMG crema. It was everything I hoped a fish taco right off the shores of the Pacific would be. Paired with a Dr Pepper and some fries (not ashamed of the taco/fry combo, people) – I'd say this experience probably couldn't have gotten any better.
Hiking around the cliffs of Malibu and stuff was pretty cool too. I mean, do you see that hidden beach? Little spots like that were everywhere. Trust me, I know because for some reason my colleague (who quickly became one of my favorite people around) and I decided to drive up and down Route 1 multiple times that day. Apparently we couldn't get enough of taking in as much of that coastline as we could and the sunshine streaming through the windshield and dancing to our favorite music and open windows letting the ocean breeze fill our car. Yep, that was wonderful (and I already can't wait until next time).
