Our first day in Prague began with planning where to go and what to see. This is probably something that should have happened before we arrived, but you know.. things happen.
After making somewhat of a plan, we made our way to the Old Town Square. Walking through the streets of Prague is an experience in itself. The buildings are so ornate and beautiful.. it's incredible.
We enjoyed a lunch of traditional Czech food, roasted pork and sauerkraut with potatoes, on a little bench right in the middle of the square. You might be wondering if said food was even good (I mean a hunk of meat and sauerkraut), but friends.. it might be one of the best meals I've had. Ever.
We then made our way to St. Vitus Cathedral, which rises above Prague Castle. It was absolutely stunning on the outside..
and was also just as stunning on the inside.
Husband doing his thing. We didn't get lost once.. so three cheers for him!
After spending some time in Prague Castle, we walked through the Royal Gardens. It was a little rainy, so we were some of the only people there. Just strolling hand in hand through the gardens, feeling like we were the only ones there, is one of my favorite memories.
Our day ended at a little cafe, famous for its hot chocolate. It was basically melted chocolate in a cup and the perfect ending to a rather beautiful day.
