Hi
I am Liv.

Why I love lipstick and therefore you should too
Everyone can wear bright lipstick.
It makes me feel fabulous.
It's a easy way to wear colour.
It can transform my look.
It's an affordable way to try new styles.
It can look classic, elegant, cute or fun
It's always worth experimenting
It's addictive

Convinced? Brilliant!

I believe there are no rules, when it comes to make up!
There are guidelines though, which make the use of it a lot easier.

How to choose a shade
If you have a more yellow or olive skin tone you generally suit warmer shades, like orange reds, peachy tones, corals, bright reds or true reds [a true red has the same amount of cool and warm tones and therefore works with most skin tones].
If you have cool rosy undertones in your skin, you are usually better of with berry reds, deep pinks, pastel pinks, cherry reds or true reds.

To determine if you are cool or warm, see if gold [warm] or silver [cool] suits you better by holding up a foil next to your skin. If both work, you have a neutral skin tone.

Most people prefer lighter shades for the day, deeper shades for the evening.
The darker the colour, the more dramatic your look will be.

How to apply
A very modern way to wear your lip colour is to dab it on with your finger, without using a lip liner. It looks more effortless and works best with highly pigmented lipsticks. And everyone can do it.

Keep in mind
If you are not used to your own image in the mirror with the lipstick, it can help to take a photo and have a look at the photo instead. It changes your perspective and you can judge more objectively.
Create a long lasting result: blot your lips with a tissue and reapply your lipstick.
If your lips are asymetric use a concealer with a lipbrush to correct the shape.
Most lipsticks can be used as cream blushers too: just dab a tiny amount on the apple of your cheek and blend well.

Have fun. Smoooch. Liv x
