The end of an internship. And where I'm going next.

21 August 2013

Shout out to my girl Katya for the picture. You rock.
Let's begin by clarifying – no, that is not a picture of me on the poster up there. As much as I wish it was because my LinkedIn page and What's App profile picture would be all about that, I've just never mastered the looking cute while laughing really hard face. One day, people. And that's when I'll chase my modeling dreams (LOL).

Until then, I'll just have to make do as a full-time, non-intern copywriter (!!!). It still feels surreal. My love for grammar is officially considered a professional skill, work is walking distance from home, creativity is part of my everyday, adoring a subheadline isn't weird, and I'm surrounded by thoughtful people who threw a going away/welcome shindig to celebrate my new position (leaving one team to join another, hence the we will miss you up there) – not to mention, they're all crazy talented and inspire me on the regular.

But the best part (even better than alllllllll of that) is that I get to wake up to do something I love. So, cue cheering, confetti, a marching band, and chocolate cannons. This is the dream. And I feel overwhelmingly blessed.

P.S. Thoughts from my second day as a little intern.
