I fell in love with Madrid's details. Sure, the Royal Palace is impressive and Puerto del Sol is charming – but what makes this city beautiful is so much more than that. It's lace curtains hanging in a window. A Strawberry Tree's red berries covering the sidewalk. A little shop inviting you in with Pinocchio. Mojitos made with fresh mint. It's plants draped over the side of a balcony. Sharing an umbrella with the person you love. Walking through the park hand in hand. Stealing kisses and a long conversation over tapas. It's hot churros dipped in melted chocolate. And the sound of a flamenco guitar. These are the little things that make this city so magnificent.
