Yes, it happened. Husband and I went skydiving. It's definitely an activity that I've always dreamed of crossing off my bucket list but (moment of total honesty) was just too scared to initiate it. Well, since a dear
friend initiated this fine outing by invitation, yes seemed to be the only option.
So, I found myself climbing to 14,000 feet to jump out of the perfectly good plane that was flying me to that rather ridiculous altitude. As I awaited for direction from the instructor who I was jumping with, I looked out the window and thought to myself that this was potentially the stupidest thing I've ever done. Ever. When the time came to literally walk right out of that plane, my instructor said
prepare yourself for something incredible.
Well friends, he wasn't kidding. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done in my whole life. As we soared through clouds that were illuminated a soft pink by the setting sun, I was completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. To breathe such fresh air, to take in the world from a different perspective, and to experience the peace that comes with thinking of nothing besides what is happening in that very moment (as a result of my adrenaline ridden brain).. it was absolutely beautiful. And I can't wait to do it again.
