Thank you so much for your excitement and joy in response to our big news! There has been a lot of happy dancing over here.. and hopefully that dancing continues for the couple of years that we plan to spend abroad. We have plane tickets to Zurich [where we plan to live] for August 21st.. that's the big day.  We'll say goodbye to those that we love [except for Sadie, she's coming] and make our way to Switzerland.

At the beginning of our senior year of college, David [who many of you know as husband] and I sat down together to talk about what laid beyond school. At that time, it was still very unclear but what wasn't was our hope for a great adventure. As our time in college continued to dwindle, talks of what that adventure would be became more and more frequent. David and I both felt that there was great opportunity here, exactly where we are now, but we wanted to ensure that we considered every option before we made any decisions. Because I have dual citizenship to Switzerland, I've always dreamed of living in that little country and when I expressed this to my sweet husband.. moving there quickly became one of those options.

After many discussions that lasted late into the night and seeking wise counsel from many trusted friends, we made the decision to move to Switzerland. David and I both place a lot of value on culture and where we are now [no children, young, fresh out of school] presents incredible opportunity to act on that. In addition [and what I consider most importantly], David and I have spent the first two years of our marriage in a community that we've been a part of for over a decade. It's a beautiful thing to be surrounded by so many people whom we adore, but we feel that moving abroad will give us precious time to challenge and grow our relationship. It's not an effort to save something, but rather to deepen the love that we already share. So, Switzerland it is friends. For exploring, for fulfilling dreams, for relationship building, and for being young's sake!

And gosh, we're so excited for all of you to be a part of this great adventure.
