upon our move to Switzerland![]() |

- Trains. I kind of love figuring out time tables, reading a good book while whisking through the countryside, and enjoying a cappuccino in-between departures.. there's just something so very romantic about it.
- My name being pronounced correctly for the first time in my life. It's Lay-nuh.. did you know that? Anyway, those who speak German pronounce an e like we pronounce an a. My name and the way it's spelled has been the cause of great confusion for as long as I can remember. Not anymore.. happy dance
- Chocolate. So much chocolate. I'm not even sure if this needs to be explained but I have this thing for dark chocolate. That thing and me are about to get a lot more serious.
- Glorious snow. I think that little white stuff is so absolutely magical (I've only had to shovel it a handful of times, so this sentiment is subject to change). But really, with snow comes skiing and I'm embarrassingly excited for that joyous activity on a regular basis.
- The milk. I'm not even sure if I can explain how good the milk in Switzerland really is (each of you are just going to have to come visit for a milk tasting adventure). My mouth is watering just at the thought of it.
- Bakeries. Warm, homemade chocolate croissants. Nothing more needs to be said here..
- The Swiss Alps. My soul finds ultimate joy amidst big snowy mountains. I can hardly imagine what living near them will be like. If I'm really being honest with you, I think there will be a lot of swooning going on. I know, swoon.. I said it. But seriously, I'm pretty sure that it's going to happen.
- Exploring Europe with my best friend. Pinch me. Really.
